
Acne scars leading from acne breakouts can have the skin to become red and swollen, w/c can produce the skin seem blotchy and inflamed. To treat this redness, it is great to follow a strategy that reduces redness, reduces inflammation and soothes the top layers of skin. These treatments should be given in sequence 3 times per week. Once the redness falls, acne scars will appear less noticeable. Cleanse the skin without using soap. Soaps take ingredients that can cause the skin to become dried out, irritated and inflamed, w/c can cause facial redness caused by scarring to become worse. To avoid this, use a jojoba facial to cleanse the skin. According to Northwestern Health Sciences University, jojoba oil can be used on the skin to reduce redness. Spread 2 tsp. jojoba oil onto the skin; then rub the oil in using a deeper pressure. After 2 minutes, fill a bowl with very hot, steaming water. Place a towel over your head, and lean over the bowl. The steam will envelope your face, w/c will open and flush out your pores. After 5 to 7 minutes, soak a washcloth in cool water, and squeeze it out. Use the cool washcloth to wipe off the oil. The coolness of the washcloth will also cause the pores to reclose, preventing impurities from clogging them. This type of cleaning can be used between 3 to 7 times per week.Apply an oatmeal mask, w/c will reduce redness and inflammation of the skin. According to Northwestern Health Sciences University, oats are easy to the skin, and reduces inflammation. In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup raw oats w/ 1 cup of boiling water. After the mixture cools completely, use your fingers to spread the oatmeal onto the skin. Let the oatmeal mask remain on the skin for at least 10 minutes. Wipe the oatmeal off, and deposit it into a trash can, then wash your skin thoroughly w/ water. Apply a skin-soothing oatmeal mask 3 times per week.Use an anti-inflammatory toner. Particular substances are very working in reducing redness and inflammation of the skin. As advised by Northwestern Health Sciences University, these substances include aloe vera gel and chamomile essential oil. Pour 6 oz. water into an empty spray bottle, and add in 10 drops pure chamomile essential oil and 4 oz. aloe vera gel. Spray your skin better after it has been cleansed, and allow the mixture to dry on your skin. You can use this mixture as an anti-inflammatory toner 3 to 7 times per week.Things You'll Need
