6 plantes pour soulager le psoriasis

Le psoriasis : Une maladie de la peau qui touche de 1 à 3 % de la population mondiale , de 1 à 2 % de la population française ( soit plus de 1 million de personnes ) . Elle se caractérise par l’apparition d’épaisses plaques de peau , comme des écailles , localisées en général au niveau de cuir chevelu , des genoux et des coudes avec atteinte des ongles , ou au niveau de la plante de pieds et des mains ( psoriasis palmo- plantaire )  . Dans certains cas graves   , l’atteinte est généralisée .

Cette plante existe sous forme de gélules ( prendre une gélule de poudre totale cryobroyée matin , midi et soir au moment des repas ) .

Le Mahonia faux houx ou Mahonia à feuilles de houx (Mahonia aquifolium (Pursh) Nutt.) est un arbuste semi-persistant originaire du nord-ouest des Etats- Unis, naturalisé depuis longtemps en Europe occidentale .Il  doit son nom à une ville des îles Baléares : Port-Mahon. Les Anglo-Saxons l’appellent « raisin d’Oregon ». Cette plante a été utilisée  pendant des siècles par les Indiens d’Amérique du Nord. qui  prêtaient à sa racine des vertus magiques et médicinales .

Le Mahonia à feuilles de houx contient des alcaloïdes connus pour leurs effets anti-inflammatoires et anti-bactériens utilisés dans le traitement de l’infection .

D’après des études in vitro récentes réalisées sur des cellules de l’épiderme qui synthétisent la kératine,(  un des principaux constituants de la peau  ), l’extrait de mahonia aurait des propriétés antiproliférantes, antioxydantes et anti-inflammatoires sur le psoriasis (années 80)

Plus récemment , la racine de mahonia aurait été prescrite avec succès à 300 patients souffrant de blépharite ( une inflammation du bord des paupières qui s’accompagne souvent d’eczéma et de psoriasis : les symptômes ont été améliorés pour  95 % d’entre eux

Le mahonia semble diminuer la tendance à l’inflammation.

Il existe sous forme de teinture mère

On trouve aussi aujourd’hui des onguents anti-inflammatoires à base de mahonia. Appliquer ces onguents trois fois par jour sur les zones affectées .

Attention :  l’utilisation du Mahonia à feuille de houx est déconseillé pendant la grossesse .

Notez que les plantes ne sont pas des remèdes anodins. Veillez à ne jamais dépasser les doses indiquées et  consultez un médecin si les symptômes persistent .
